Reading & Writing Units of Study Updates
3rd - 5th WriteScore PLC on November 14 at 3pm
We are scheduled to have our next PLC meeting on Tuesday, November 14, 2017. Please utilize the link to access the agenda to obtain the pre-work needed for our session. We are making all efforts to ensure that our work time together is protected for planning and the creation of tools/resources. 3rd-5th EIP & SEC teachers, your attendance has been requested. What: OnDemand Writing (The topics can be found in the Writing Pathways book)
When: Mid Unit OnDemand (after bend 1) & Post Unit OnDemand (during remediation wk)
Why: Measure Writing Progress on all Indicators listed on the writing rubrics.
Reading
Who: 3rd-5th grade
What: Reading Performance Assessment (Can be found on the Heinemann website.)
When: Pre Unit Assess. (1st week of unit) & Post Unit Assess. (during remediation wk)
Why: Measure Reading Progress on all major strands of the unit.

Math Updates
Math Benchmarks
We will begin our Math Benchmarks on Monday, November 13th. Please see the linked schedule below for your scheduled day, time, and location. Your testing bins and laptops will be delivered to you no later than 7:45A.M. each morning. Please be prepared to begin testing promptly at 8:00A.M.
Reminders:
- Students will assess on the computers in Illuminate
- Students should access Illuminate from their Launchpad (using their Lunch Number and Birthday)
- Each student will receive a hard copy for their constructive responses (They must put their School, Teacher, & Student name in the top corner of the documents)

- Teachers will eat with students on November 15th and 16th.
- Please be prepared to receive students at your doors from 7:15am - 7:25am. After 7:25am, please use your time wisely inside of your classroom.
- Please take attendance in TAC by 9:00pm each day.
- TKES Walkthroughs will continue this week. We will focus on standards 2-Instructional Planning, 3-Instructional Strategies, and 8-Academically Challenging Environment.
