Making Memories!
Bluffsview Families,
We are twelve days into May and I can't even list all the fun and exciting things we have going on at Bluffsview! My hope is that in the next week and a half, before the school year ends, both you and your child can really soak up these special moments and make memories.
My own children are thirteen (they are twins) and I can't believe how fast time is flying! Somehow, we have to find a way to be truly present and make sure that the memory is truly captured. I hope that if you can volunteer for field day or another end of the year event, you can be here to see your child in action. If not, I hope the pictures shared and the stories told are ones can you can enjoy and cherish. It is a busy time for sure, but also such a special time. Let's enjoy it and make the most of it!
Honored to be a Bear,

CONSTRUCTION QUESTIONS, DR. TRENT BOWERS
With the significant work being completed this week on the TWHS front lawn many community members are asking questions about the work being completed. We released this blog post (also attached as a PDF) this morning in an effort to help answer questions. There are many links with visuals and some links to video presentations so those with questions can go into as much depth as they would like to.
Please share this with information with anyone who asks you questions about the project, comments on your social media, etc...
This is going to be an amazing project when complete. But, construction won't be easy. Please know that we appreciate the flexibility and patience you are already exhibiting.

Summer Opportunities!
Fight the Summer Slide!!!
As we head into summer, I wanted to remind you about two great online learning programs offered to Bluffsview Bear. Lexia (K-1) is an adaptive reading program that accelerates the development of reading skills. RAZ Kids for 2-5th grades for continued reading comprehension. ST Math (K-5) is a math program that leverages the brain's innate spatial-temporal reasoning ability to solve mathematical problems. Your child(ren) will have access to these programs through their HelloID account until July 30th. They are used to using these programs in the classroom. Please consider squeezing in 20-30 minutes of Lexia/RAZ and ST Math a few times a week before other screen time. 🙂 The summer slide, where students regress in their learning, CAN be minimized, but we need kids to continue reading and working their brains.
Summer Meals
Worthington Schools will be providing free summer meals Monday-Thursday, June 6-29 at Slate Hill elementary from 11:30-12:30.

Apple Watches and Cell Phones
Please partner with us in ensuring that distractions during school time are limited by reminding your child that ALL electronic devices, including Apple Watches, should be off during the day. Students are welcome to use them on their way to or from school, but should have them off or in "school mode" while at school. We appreciate you help with this as they can interfere with learning.
