Phase 2 Special Education Plan Information - DISTRICTS ONLY
As a reminder, school districts are required to update the Program Profile section of their Special Education Plan to reflect the district’s continuum of services. Some updates made within the Program Profile section require your district to submit a SEPRN (Special Education Plan Revision Notice). Please note that in order to submit a SEPRN, you will need to have Planning Leader access within the Comp Plan application. If you need to adjust your role, please contact your Local Security Administrator. Please be sure to submit your Program Profile updates, following the process below, 30 days prior to your proposed implementation. Phase 1 Special Education Plan Information - DISTRICTS ONLY
School districts in Phase 1 must submit their full Special Education Plans by May 1, 2019, via the Comprehensive Planning Web Application. Training regarding the Comprehensive Planning Web Application was held on December 7, 2018 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at each of the PATTAN locations. The recording and materials will soon be posted to the PaTTAN website.
Attention Phase 1 LEAs...
Phase 1 Comprehensive Plans are due for submission to the Pennsylvania Department of Education by November 30, 2019.

If you are looking for feedback or support in writing your Comprehensive Plan, our team is offering virtual, individual sessions for your LEA! One of our team members can meet virtually with members of your planning committee at a mutually agreed upon time(s), if you desire this assistance. We will provide assistance with the Comprehensive Planning process, web application, and/or requirements. Our assistance will be customized in order to meet your needs.

Purposeful Planning with PVAAS Data
The comprehensive planning process involves analysis of multiple data points in order to create a relevant and meaningful action plan. The face to face sessions and webinars listed below provide practical information for ways to use multiple methods for: analyzing student achievement and growth data, setting goals, determining root causes, and creating aligned plans. For more details on these and additional professional learning opportunities (upcoming and recorded) please visit the PVAAS Resource site. A booklet of all professional learning opportunities and recordings of past webinars are available there!
- Make the Most of Multiple Data Tools: This session will support school and district leaders to create a workflow that identifies system-wide areas of strength and concern and integrates multiple data points to create a plan of action. (Webinar recording and PowerPoint)
- Digging Deeper Into Content Areas: Registration link: Understanding the root cause of your results is key to writing an impactful action plan. This webinar will illustrate how to select and use specific questions from the Digging Deeper resources, based on PVAAS data as well as other data available to you.
- Establishing Meaningful Growth Goals & Priorities: A "How-To" Session: Registration link: This two hour webinar will focus on developing skills in the area of data-informed decision making, including appropriately interpreting PVAAS growth reporting and documenting those results, and transforming the findings into data-informed goals and priorities that provide a specific focus area for your school.
