“Lighten up on yourself. No one is perfect. Gently accept your humanness.”
Significant 72
I am asking all staff to tighten the supervision of students. I am in full support of full classroom washroom breaks versus letting students out of the room unattended throughout the school day. Morning and after school supervision need to tighten up. 5th grade, think about how you can avoid the hallway after school as it is a long way to the lockers. Perhaps allowing students to go to their lockers after the 1:35 class or 2:40 class may work out well for them.
At the end of the day, divide and conquer. All grades need to sort students by walkers/bus-riders and those getting picked up. One person needs to walk the walkers/bus-riders to the recess door while the other grade level teacher walks students to the gym or in kindergartens case, the vestibule near our circle drive. Kindergarten, you too must divide so that one staff member walks the bus-riders out of the school.
PARCC Testing
It will be important for 3rd - 6th grade teachers to make sure that all students have headphones and have their rooms ready for Monday, when they leave on Friday. This includes all student pass codes that will be needed.
