Loveland's Expectations
Be Safe
Be Respectful
Be Responsible
Dear Loveland Families
The Loveland Ice Cream Social was a wonderful event! The kids had a great time going from one activity to another! The event could not have been a success without the leadership of Jill Conway, Taylor Cochrane, Ann Duggins, Kate Porter, Jody Packett, Christina Greenwald, and all the other wonderful volunteers who donated their time. Each and every one of you helped in some way or another whether it was recruiting volunteers, organizing games, making signs, selling tickets, or helping with set up and break down. Thanks to all of you! We would also like to thank those who purchased wristbands. THANK YOU!
Ms. Hornung

Summer Reading
Throughout the school year, as part of Westside’s Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) process, students are assessed in reading and provided with strong instruction to support their needs. To engage families and extend the learning for students, we are sharing ways in which you can support your child with their reading. As we enter into summer, it is important to encourage practice in the area of reading so that students maintain the skills they learned this year.
This link: https://tinyurl.com/ue2tbc6v outlines opportunities to continue learning with and without technology. Included are links to various activities you can do with your child, as well as reading programs available in the community and some website/app recommendations. The top priority this summer is simply having your child read every day. This can include times when someone reads to or with them.
The End of the Year Approaches Quickly!
Some items for you to think about as the 2021-22 school year winds down:
• Lost and found is piling up. Please stop by to take a look and see what belongs to you.
• All medicines must be picked up by the last day of school. Any medicines left in the nurse’s office on May 27th will be disposed of.
• Lunch accounts must be at or above zero at all times. But especially at the end of the year, all negative balances in your child’s account must be paid in full by the last day of school. Any money left in your child’s account will stay there for the next school year. Sixth graders’ accounts will transfer to the middle school.
• All lost library books MUST be found and turned in to the Media Center before the end of the year.
Thank you for helping us end the year on a positive note.
Information Needed
If your child will not be coming back to Loveland next fall because you are moving or transferring to another school, please let our office know as soon as possible.
This information is very important to us as we prepare for fall 2022.
LUNCH ACCOUNT
As a reminder, school lunch is free this school year. However, if your student receives an extra helping of the main entrée, a bottle of water, extra fruit/vegetable or a carton of milk to go with their cold lunch, these items are charged.
Please remember to keep your student's lunch account current. You may send cash/check with your student and have him/her turn it into the office. Or you may use myschoolbucks.com to manage your deposits.
Wednesday Dismissal
Every Wednesday we will end the school day at 3:00 pm instead of 3:30 pm. This gives our teachers throughout the district collaboration time by attending weekly professional learning communities. Please plan accordingly to pick your child up at 3PM.
