Connected AEA=Connected Schools

Tuesday, May 26th, 8:30am-12:30pm

500 Northeast 6th Street

Pocahontas, IA

Join us for a workshop in connected learning, social media, and digital citizenship - where barriers are eliminated, collaboration is encouraged and community is supported. The workshop will focus on understanding the major social media networks, primarily Twitter, for professional connecting and learning along with support for active involvement. Through a collaborative, community approach to learning, we make a case for engaging in a professional learning network as a means to connect and bridge support to the students, educators and districts we serve. We’ll share examples of school systems engaged in social networking as well as educators using social media to expand their professional network. Participants will have the chance to create a presence, increase their network, and learn management tips, so the connection adds value to their network. Connected AEA=Connected Schools provides first-hand experiences that will be invaluable as you grapple with the changes to education in the 21st century.
