Thank you!!
Dear families,
The school year is off to an amazing start. Thank you to all families for being patient during the morning drop-off and afternoon pick-up. We are thrilled with how the new procedure is going and appreciate you all being safe and following signage. The staff at Woodfield wish you all a wonderful long weekend and a relaxing Labor Day. We look forward to seeing everyone again on Tuesday, September 6.
Sincerely,
Jessica Grimm

THE ANNUAL STUDENT RECORDS NOTICE IS AVAILABLE ON OUR WEBSITE FOR FAMILIES TO REVIEW
Dear Families,
During the registration process most families did not get the chance to respond to the Student Demographic Information section. Therefore, we are asking families to once again provide annual permissions regarding yearbook, newspaper and school media (website, social media, publications, etc.). This will serve as the official record on file.
If you grant permission for your child(ren) to appear in the above mentioned no further action is needed. If not please click here to complete the opt out form by September 9th.
Once again no response is required if you grant permission for Student Demographic Information.
If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Jessica Grimm, principal. Thank you!
Counselor's Update
Dear Woodfield Parents/Guardians,
I would like to take this opportunity to welcome everyone back to school. My name is Mrs. Julie Voegeli and I would like to introduce myself to the new families and briefly explain my role as a school counselor to all families. I have been working in the Waterford Graded School District since 2000 as a School Counselor. Prior to becoming a school counselor, I taught students with learning disabilities at a middle school in Janesville, Wisconsin. I am very excited to be working with all of the Woodfield families and students this year.
My goal as a school counselor is to help your child feel successful this year by providing a thorough program. One of the four main components of Woodfield’s Comprehensive School Counseling Program is developmental classroom lessons that will be taught once a month in kindergarten through fifth grade. We use Second Step which is a social emotional curriculum that will drive most of my classroom lessons. Classroom lessons teach students to: set goals, make better decisions, collaborate with others in work and play, navigate the world more effectively and gain self confidence.
Another main component of Woodfield’s Comprehensive School Counseling Program is responsive services in which I will facilitate confidential small groups on a variety of topics. In addition, I meet individually with students on a short-term as needed basis to help with adjustment to school, to assist with problem solving and teach coping strategies for personal issues. Parents, staff and/or the students themselves may request individual meetings and/or participation in group counseling. An important thing to remember, I am here to help, students are not in trouble for talking to the school counselor.
Providing a positive educational experience for your son or daughter is my number one priority. I look forward to working with you and your child this year. If you have any questions or concerns please call (514-8230 x3108) or e-mail ,voegeli@waterford.k12.wi.us .
Sincerely,
Mrs. Julie Voegeli
