Murdock Leadership and Citizenship Class Hygiene Supply Drive
The Murdock High School Leadership and Citizenship class is once again holding a Hygiene Supply Drive. We’re coming together as a community to help those in need gain access to vital supplies needed to live a healthy, safe, and above all, hygienic lifestyle. This hygiene drive more specifically applies to children in the foster care system, who are often moved without warning, with little to no belongings. Last year, we were able to donate 100 individual hygiene kits to the DCF office in Leominster, as well as stock the Murdock High School pantry with supplies.
We are collecting travel sized containers of shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotion, toothpaste as well as toothbrushes, washcloths, razors and menstrual products.
Collection sites are located at Murdock High School, The Clark YMCA, Not Just Produced, and the CAC. We are collecting through the first week of December.
For more information, email Murdock High School teacher: Candace Frye (cfrye@winchendonk12.org).

Parent-Teacher Conferences
Our Fall Parent-Teacher Conferences are right around the corner! Due to its success, our conferences will continue to be held virtually. We will also continue our Student-Led Conferences. We ask, if possible, please have your student attend the conference with you so that they can showcase their schoolwork and discuss their educational goals with you. Students will lead the discussion about their schoolwork, while teachers will help direct conversation and answer questions you may have. We have several goals for holding conferences using this format:
- For parents: We hope that you will get to see rather than simply being told about your child’s progress.
- For students: We hope students will take more responsibility for their learning.
- For teachers: We want teachers to have more meaningful and impactful conferences with you.
- For all: We want to maximize our time together, and create ways to partner with one another to support student success.
If questions still remain after the conference, parents should schedule a follow-up meeting, phone conversation, or email with the teacher or teachers involved. It is important that both you and your student attend the conference. We will be sending out sign-up information through ParentSquare the week of November 7th.
This Parent/Teacher Conference Schedule is as follows:
Monday, November 21, 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm
Tuesday, November 22, 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm
