🩺 Reminders from School Health Services:
Now is the time to get on the schedule with your medical provider for your student(s) to get all of their needed immunizations and well-child checks. Also, if your student(s) are in any sports they may need a physical in order to participate in the fall.
Watch your mail/email in early August for information from the school nurses to update your student(s) health conditions. We will need new updated prescription forms if your child will be taking medications at school.
All completed forms, with medication, can be sent to the school with an adult or brought to Back-to-School Night!
Review your Skyward account!
Update phone numbers, email addresses, and emergency contacts.

🥯Universal Free Breakfast Program Continued for 2023-24 School Year
The Universal Free Breakfast Program will continue in the 2023-24 school year. Universal Free Breakfast offers free breakfast at no charge to all students, regardless of their household income. The Food Service Department is again able to offer this pilot program in support of the nutritional needs of our students. This popular program has, as of April 28, 2023, served over 263,988 breakfasts to our students.
The benefits of the Universal Free Breakfast Program:
- Research shows that children who eat breakfast perform better in school, visit the school nurse less often, are absent from school less often, have a decreased risk of being overweight, enjoy improved-quality diets, and exhibit better behavior.
- Helping parents to ensure that their children have access to breakfast elsewhere if breakfast is missed at home. The busy lifestyle of many families sometimes means that breakfast is rushed or skipped at home.
- Bus and commuting schedules sometimes interfere with children being fed at home. Having breakfast at school gives students the morning nutrition they need to start their day.
- Many children report not feeling hungry first thing in the morning but have a better appetite later in the morning.
Free and Reduced Students Program.
Students who would otherwise qualify for reduced-price benefits for the 2023-24 school year will have their meals provided at no cost by the Food Service Department as part of this overall pilot program. Parents are encouraged to complete the free and reduced application in late August/early September to see if they qualify.
