Weekly Wellness
May’s habit of the month is “Celebrate and Appreciate” and the disposition is “Trust”
Endings are times for celebration and appreciation, which lay the foundation for resilience in days ahead. Endings are logical opportunities for celebrations as they are critical junctures for rituals that mark transitions and accomplishments. Our social and emotional selves need opportunities to acknowledge what we’ve done and to honor the relationships we’ve built with others. Celebrations boost our resilience, because, in looking back, we select the strands of story that weave into a narrative of our strength. We edit our memories, selecting those that align with our core values, and reflect who we want to be in the world. And, in creating the narrative of who we are, we become more resilient.
Every season, every week, and every day there are opportunities for celebration and appreciation. At the end of every day, as night falls, we have the opportunity to give thanks and if resilience is an underground well, an internal reservoir of strength, then celebrations are like a heavy rainstorm that effortlessly tops off your reserves.

Check out some of the cool things still being offered throughout the district.
We officially have a Wellness Website where you can access different “Health and Wellness” related resources, including:
Wellness Warm-Line Request Form for the district. The Wellness Warm-Line is a non-emergency resource for all WSHUSD students seeking emotional support. The goal of the warm-line is to provide support prior to a mental health crisis. Some concerns callers share are stress, anxiety, depression, interpersonal relationship issues, panic, corona-blues, or are just having a bad day and need to talk to someone.
Resource Request Support for all district families. Any district family/student that needs support during Covid-19, they can request to access support from our school social workers (i.e. food insecurity, housing insecurity, job support, referrals, gov't aide support, etc).
Don’t forget about Wellness Yoga/Mindfulness for all staff, students, and families of the district to support well-being during times of the "Stay at Home" order. Danica, the instructor, is amazing! Every week on Wed, 3:00 pm. The Zoom Meeting link is
