History of Greece
Greece joined the European Union in 1981, Greece was one of the many founders. Greece was part of another country once, it was part of Macedonia, which is north of Greece. Greece is part of the constitutional republic government. In March 1998 the dramacha was the type of money they used in Greece eBay since 2001 they started to use Euro.
Flag
The flag of Greece, most recently adopted on 22 December 1978, features horizontal stripes of blue and white, with a white cross on a blue square in the upper left-hand corner. Blue represents the waters of the Greek sea, and white, the sea foam of restless Greek waves. Blue and white also represent the blue skies of Greece with its bright white clouds. While nature is symbolized in the flag's colors, the people's strong faith is shown by the Greek cross, a symbol of the Greek Orthodox Church.
