Teaching Effective Hybrid Courses

Welcome, Learners!

I am excited that you have chosen to be part of UMUC. Class begins on Monday; however, I have opened the Introduction discussion topic in the classroom so we can get a headstart on getting to know each other. In the upcoming week, you can expect to explore the UMUC approach to hybrid teaching, best practices, and UMUC expectations for hybrid teaching. We will finish the week with a case analysis and an opportunity to practice creating your own hybrid course schedule. I look forward to an interactive week learning about your experiences!

The purpose of this course is to recognize the significance of adjusting activities and outcomes to a hybrid course where appropriate and to take advantage of the features of both a face-to-face and online learning environment.
