Hellow Grizzly Families!!
I hope families were able to get out and enjoy some time playing in the snow or staying warm indoors while watching it fall outside. While I can appreciate the beauty of a white blanket of snow, I much prefer it in November or December. By this time of the year, I am already counting down the days until spring! I am more of a warm weather girl. While the sky may be dark, I am full of internal sunshine around seeing our 2nd and 3rd graders this week!
As always, we are here to support if you have questions.
Return to In-Person Learning:
2nd & 3rd grades: February 18
4th & 5th grades: March 1
2nd & 3rd Grade Families
Your student's "At home Learning" day will be mostly independent learning and Wednesdays will be different than their other "At home Learning" days. On the "At Home Learning" day, students will have a zoom with their teacher to set them up for their independent work for the day. They will also attend their specialist class and if they receive interventions they will attend those as well. On Wednesdays, because there are no students in the school, your student will have 2 required zooms with their teacher along with specialist and interventions for which they qualify.
Students wll need to use their back pack as a portable locker. They will need to transport their ipad, books and materials back and forth to school. Our kindergartners and first graders have done and amazing job with this.
Attestations need to be filled out in ParentVue so your student can come strait into class. Clearly there have been technical issues with this. All I can say is keep checking in on Wednesday. It won't be there on the weekends or this Monday or Tuesday because they are District wide, no school days.
Feb. 17: No school for 2nd & 3rd graders- Their teachers will be in training all morning and putting the final touches on their classrooms for arrival of our students in the afternoon.
Feb. 18: First Day for our A Track students
Feb 19: First Day for our B Track students
Bus information should be arriving in your mailboxes no later than the middle of next week.
Important Dates
Feb. 12: Snow Make-up Day-No School
Feb. 15: President's Day-No School
Feb. 16: District Wide Teacher Professional Development Day-No School for all students
Feb. 18: 2nd/3rd graders return to in-person learning
March 1: 4th/5th graders return to in-person learning
Arrival & Dismissal: It might take some extra time as we get the routines smooth, so consider that as you plan your morning
In-person Arrival Time: 11:05-11:15 Students in seats, ready to learn.
Dismissal Time: 3:50 Students escorted to their departure destination-This may take a few minutes and we thank you for your patience.
Save time in parent pick-up and ride the bus. As we begin to bring in our 2/3rd grade students our pick up loop is going to become longer. There are only 2-4 students currently riding our buses so there is plenty of room to spread out.
Private Vehicle Transported Students- All personal vehicles are required to use the parent loop and adults are to remain in the vehicle. In order for this to run smoothly, we ask that your student have everything in their bag and ready to hop out of their vehicle upon entering the loop.
We will have all of our staff outside supporting students upon arrival and exit.
Again, parents/guardians are to remain in their vehicles for before and after school pick-up. This will help us meet our health department guidelines so our students can continue in-person learning.
Walkers- when you arrive on campus, you will have a staff member giving you directions to ensure social distancing. It is important to follow those directions so you can return to in person learning. Once students reach our tiny west parking lot, any persons accompanying students will need to remain there at that point. Only students will be able to continue further. We will have all staff outside for arrival and dismissal to ensure student safety and support.
