ROAR Ticket Classroom Winner
Mrs. Berry's class not only won a dance party, but also earned over 200 ROAR tickets. Which meant, Mrs. Enders had to hold the bearded dragon!
Weekly Updates/ Reminders:
- Please remember ALL instructional non-negotiable must be adhered to.
- Attendance must be taken by 9:30 am and then rechecked for any mistakes in the afternoon, failure to meet this deadline will result in a written warning.
- Mayor Lucas will be visiting Wheatley to read to some our 2nd graders and visit classrooms on Wednesday, September 4th.
- Snack Packs start Friday, please make sure you continue to turn the forms into the office as your students return them!
- Tyler Picture Update (Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday)
- School Store open Thursday (Please schedule you class time in Teachers Lounge).
- All dismissal sheets should be placed in your mailbox before you leave each day.
- All classes must be in the gym for dismissal at 4:15 p.m.
- Lesson Plans are due EVERY Friday Evening @ 7pm.
- All bulletin boards should now have current student work posted.

Important Instructional Levers and Look For:
WEEKLY Instructional LOOK-FORS:
- Instruction must be bell to bell.
- Writing across all content areas-- ensure that you plan for writing throughout your day.
- Begin planning your stations/task menus (Instructional activities, process, expectations and transitions).
- Connective Purpose Statements (I Can Statements and objectives) up daily in classrooms.
- Completing iReady assessments by Tuesday EOD.
- Getting stations and task menus up and running this week. Administration is going to be in classrooms looking for small groups, stations and task menus.
- RTI- using your data (iReady, SRI, and Acheivement Series) to create your intervention group groups, collaborating with you PLC to set up rotations, transitions and expectations. Have your students practice rotations, transitions, and expectations.
- Checking for Understanding- We will be looking and discussing formal and informal CFU's. We expect to see some type of check for understanding every 8-10 minutes throughout a lesson.

- Mr. Cherry and Coach- For spreading kindness and making fresh coffee and popcorn to start our teachers day.
- All teachers and staff Pushing through 3 weeks of testing and ensuring the year started off strong.
- Ms. Summer Righter- for connecting with Mr. Cherry and ensuring a great start to PST.
- Ms. Amos- Helping get PBIS off to a great start!
Weekly Cultural LOOK-FORS:
- Teachers and Students continue to model and practice School Wide Expectations according to the Wildcat Matrix.
- Use of Dojo points and ROAR Tickets to continue to positively reinforce behavior. We will hold end of the month class parties this week for each grade level with the most ROAR tickets-- the expectation is that all classes use both Dojo and ROAR tickets.
- Use of Community circle, Pulse check, and 2 minute connection to build relationships with students. Administration will continue to look for these practices being used within the classroom.
