Partners Wanted
Do you have a business that would welcome student volunteers, job shadowing, or interns? We're ready to begin planning for community experiences for our students in the 2024-2025 school year, and looking to curate a list of businesses and organizations that would be willing to let students complete volunteer hours for Bright Futures, honor society membership and more.
Website Enhancements
Has it been a while since you visited our school's website? We've added even more information to help our stakeholders have information about our school and our events. Recent additions include menus for elective course descriptions, clubs and organizations, a library of prior newsletters, and more! A menu for School Advisory Committee information is close to launch, as well. Bookmark our website to have a wealth of information at your fingertips! And if you have suggestions for information or topics, please share!

Math Tutoring
We're adding a focused, voluntary paid math tutoring program to our afterschool offerings. Interested parents may sign up using the Angeline Afterhours link in Rycor. This program will be staffed by a rotating lineup of certified math teachers who will work with students in SMALL GROUP tutoring sessions.
STEM Showcase Judges Needed
Angeline Academy of Innovation is proud to host the district's STEM Showcase this year on Saturday, February 10th. We are in need of volunteer judges to help score projects by elementary and secondary students. Judges receive a free t-shirt, lunch, and the satisfaction of encouraging the next generation of innovators and problem-solvers!
Revised School Advisory Committee Meeting Calendar
Our School Advisory Committee continues its work to form a solid foundation to assist the school administration in making decisions. As a result, the committee adopted a meeting schedule with monthly meetings for the remainder of the school year. These meetings are open to the public, and all interested parents, students, and community members are welcome.
Deliveries to Students
Students may not receive deliveries of food or other products to school from outside vendors, including restaurants, pizza places, and fast food places via UberEats, families or other delivery services. This is a school security policy, and we will turn delivery attempts away.
Parents who need to deliver items to school throughout the day must check in with the front office. The faculty and staff will make every effort to have students pick up items brought to school for students, but does not accept responsibility for lost or undelivered items.

Middle School Student Coursework Interest Survey
As you know, our school and district are committed to fostering the highest-quality learning experience for its students.
To support these goals, we will be encouraging students in grades 5 through 8, to participate in a brief survey sometime between January 22nd through February 14th. Survey questions will address students’ views on their coursework, their school experience, and the ways in which our school supports their educational goals. Results will only be used to inform and improve academic supports and advanced/accelerated coursework placement for students. This will also help middle and high schools develop support and determine course placement for incoming 6th and 9th grade students for the 24-25 school year.
We foresee only positive benefits for your student(s) and are excited to gather data that will enable us to better prepare all students to succeed. It is the right of the parent and/or guardian to request to exempt their student from the Student Coursework Interest Survey. At the beginning of the school year, parents provided their selection for surveys on the consent form located in the myStudent Parent Portal. Please review your selection and ensure it is correct, if it is incorrect, please make the changes necessary in the myStudent Parent Portal, at least three days prior to the beginning of the survey and alert your administration to the change.
District Wide SAT ACT EOC Prep Day
We are excited to offer a District Wide SAT ACT EOC Prep Day for students. This event will take place at multiple host-site high schools across the county on February 24th. The sessions will take place face-to-face and will be supported by teacher leaders. The teacher leaders will offer sessions that include content to better prepare students for content and skills related to upcoming assessments. This event is to offer high school juniors and seniors the opportunity to participate in a one-day event that will hone their skills to support meeting the full option graduate and college entrance requirements. Please see the Sched for the sessions linked here to preview the session offerings at each site.
4th annual Virtual College and Career Fair
Pasco County Schools is hosting the 4th annual Virtual College and Career Fair on February 28 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. The purpose of this event is to ensure helpful information is shared with middle and high school families across the district as they plan for college entrance and/or careers after high school. Each session will have a live presentation accessible through our online event platform, Sched, with representatives from College, Career, and Armed Forces.

5 Negative Things You Want Your Kids to Say
Would you buy a parenting book promising to help you raise unhappy kids? Of course not! As a parent, you certainly want your kids to be happy. In fact, much of our time, effort, and money in parenting goes to making our kids happy. But what if happiness is overrated? What if sometimes, what you really want is unhappy kids? I would argue that having occasionally unhappy kids means you are parenting your kids well—that you are doing something right. Here are 5 negative things you should want your kids to say that prove they are unhappy.
Huddle up with your kids and ask, “When is the last time you felt angry or sad?”
