Midterm Mindfulness in the Library

We want our students to do their best on midterms but also know that they are loved no matter what their grades are. So encourage your student to take a stress break next week in the Library!

  • Saints Minds Matter is offering a relaxing atmosphere Friday during lunch in preparation for midterms. We'll have peaceful music and aromatherapy to de-stress and prepare for next week!
  • Here's what else is ahead in the Library to keep our students' minds at ease ... students can come in anytime between 8 a.m. and the bell for the day's first exam!
  • Tuesday: Chill Lounge - Campus Ministry & Saints Minds Matter are providing playlists of relaxing music for students. Lights will be low to help keep this a stress-free, chill-out zone!
  • Wednesday: Color Your Stress Away - Color a bookmark AND enjoy milk & cookies from Santa!
  • Thursday: PlayDoh Power Break - Improve your focus by playing or creating with PlayDoh!

Academic Updates

Dual Enrollment Spotlight - Our 3rd Successful Semester!

St. Louis Catholic launched its Dual Enrollment program in fall 2018 in partnership with McNeese State University. Our juniors and seniors can earn college credits from qualified instructors without having to leave the safety of our campus during the school day, and 71 students enrolled in our eight Dual Enrollment courses this fall!

We are still awaiting all the final grades, but we are proud to say that all students in Mr. Warren Buller's Math 113 (Algebra III) and Math 170 (Trigonometry) classes earned passing grades! Congratulations!! (Math 170 C period is pictured in gold crowns at their end-of-the-semester party ... view more class photos in the galleries below).

See How Our New Dance Curriculum Teaches Valuable Life Skills

According to Harvard Medical School, "music stimulates the brain’s reward centers, while dance activates its sensory and motor circuits,” a complex mental coordination associated with dance. It’s no wonder dance positively affects the brain, and St. Louis Catholic is proud to have offered beginner, intermediate and advanced dance classes for the first time in fall 2019!
