March PAWS-itive Character Trait is HONESTY

The PAWSITIVE Character Trait for the month of March is HONESTY. To be honest means to stick to the facts and maintaining fairness and straightforwardness of conduct.

2019-2020 PBiS Goal

Did you know that as of March 6, 2020, 86% of our students have one or fewer behavior referrals? 400 out of out 464 students have received one or fewer behavior referrals for discipline thanks to our school-wide support and commitment to PBiS (Positive Behavior Intervention & Supports)! Our students are making great choices and learning quickly to avoid repeating bad ones!

Our overall goal is to have 85% or more of our kids receive one or fewer minor/major behavior referrals this school year. We are on track to meet that ambitious and worthwhile goal!

PAWS-itive PICKS

What does a positive office referral look like at MES?

*Sign the VIP wall

*Call home

*Selfie with Mrs. Fonzo

*Ring the bell

*Loud cheering and high fives

*Names read weekly over intercom

Keep up the great work, MES!

ROAR Recognition - Acknowledging Expected Behaviors

Tiger Tickets are given when students are demonstrating expected behaviors by following ROAR Expectations.

Tiger Tickets - Tickets are brought to the cafeteria for Winning Wednesday. Tickets are drawn during lunches and students, whose tickets are drawn spin the prize wheel to earn a classroom incentive, such as extra recess, lunch in the classroom or a classroom snack.

Staff members are also encouraged to recognize classroom behaviors and offer student or classroom incentives.
