Monticello Middle School
Parent and Student Update
August 25, 2020
Middle School Schedules:
First Day of School:
The first day of school for all students (in person or via distance learning) will be Thursday, September 10th.
Daily Schedule and Cohort Assignment:
The 2020-21 Middle School daily schedule will run from 7:30 - 1:37. The Middle School will begin the school year in the Hybrid Learning Model. This means students are split into either Group A or Group B and attend school in person every other day Monday - Thursday. Friday’s are fully distance learning for all students. Group A and B assignments will be available as soon as humanly possible. We know this is important information for families!
Group A students will attend school in person on Monday and Wednesday, with teacher-facilitated remote learning on Tuesday, Thursday, & Friday.
Group B students will attend school in person on Tuesday and Thursday, with teacher-facilitated remote learning on Monday, Wednesday, & Friday.
All students will distance learn on Fridays with individual student support, teacher meetings, collaboration, and planning. Fridays will also provide for thorough cleaning of buildings.
Students/Parents who have chosen full time, Online Learning will learn remotely every day (M-F) and will be assigned an M&M Advisor.
Stay Tuned...expect regular communication regarding all instructional models as things change.
We realize with all of the craziness of spring, many of you still have middle school materials or textbooks. If you have a math book in particular, please return it to the middle school before the morning of Friday, August 28th. There will be a return cart in the main entrance vestibule.
We appreciate your immediate attention to this matter.
