A Message from the Principal...
Dear friends,
Not much to report today and maybe that is a good thing. I do want to send a special thank you to Mikki and Katie for facilitating our professional development around philosophical chairs on Thursday. I heard several teachers comment about what a great training it was. We are lucky to have this sort of expertise on our campus. Mikki and Katie do not have a monopoly on exceptional teaching strategies. I would love to have other teachers share practice that work well for them, so we all can benefit. Please let me know and I will add you to an upcoming agenda.
Meanwhile, I will close with a reminder that April 5th is a Ram Way meeting. Shaylene will be conducting our CAASSP training, so please plan to attend. We need all teachers to attend, even if are not currently scheduled to test because we may need you to fill-in in the event of an emergency.
Have a great week!

ACTION NEEDED
AVID and Cultivating our College Spirit
Twin Peaks RAM
College Culture
Phase 1: At the beginning of the school year, we adopted colleges and universities to represent our RAM class. During the Fall AVID students wrote to your colleges asking for donations to support your RAM class. Many colleges have replied with generous donations of college information and college pennants. We are working on getting pennants for the classes that did not receive one.
Phase 2: In your classroom, we encourage you to create a college-going culture by:
Decorating your door to represent your RAM college.
Creating your college wall - share information about the college(s) you attend, display your college diploma(s), and/or anything to represent your alma mater.
Gate Schedule
Please, know that to ensure the safety of our campus, we are asking that all gates to remain locked and secured during the school day. So, if you leave campus, please make sure the gates are locked behind you, after you leave. Due to safety concerns the following schedule will be followed pertaining all gates on our campus:
8:00 am – All perimeter gates will be opened for students to enter campus (Thursday = 8:50am)
8:30 am – All perimeter gates will be locked (Thurs. = 9:20am)
3:05 pm – Gates opened (Twin Peaks Road stairs gate and Fire Lane gate)
3:30 pm – Fire Lane relocked (pedestrian gate and Twin Peaks stairs gate will remain open)
4:30 pm – Gates to inner campus will be locked for the remainder of the day
