Weekly Happenings in our Kindergarten Classroom...
Our Week in Learning
ELA-We will be starting to work on predictable charts and learning popcorn words.
Math-We will continue working on numbers 1-10. We will be practicing writing the number, the written word, and the value.
Science-We will start a unit on making observations and what a scientist is. We also will be learning about our 5 senses.
Parent-Teacher Conferences
Time is quickly approaching for parent teacher conferences. I have received many of your conference sign-ups back. However, I still need several. I schedule as I receive your forms, so please get those back to me in the next couple of days. As soon as I get everyone's forms back, I will send out a conference time that has been assigned to you.
Headphones
I received many headphones for the students at the beginning of the year. I still have a few students that are in need of them. I will keep a ziploc bag at school containing the headphones with your child's name on them. If this poses a problem please let me know ,and I will make arrangements to get your child a set of headphones. In my opinion, headphones work better for kindy's then the ear buds do. They are not as frustrating to the students.
Volunteer Forms for the Field trip to the Pumpkin Patch
I will be sending home a form tomorrow for parent volunteers for our field trip to the pumpkin patch. We will be going to the pumpkin patch on October 23rd from 10-2. We would love to have you join us if your schedule allows it! It will cost parent volunteers $7.00 to attend.
