Welcome Melissa Callahan and Nicole Jones
Welcome Rick Santiago
It is my great pleasure to introduce a wonderful new addition to the Magowan staff. Mr. Rick Santiago will be serving as the new Dean of Students at Magowan Elementary School. We are so excited to welcome Rick to support our students throughout the day. He will focus on building relationships and reinforcing the core values here at the school.
Before coming to Magowan, Rick received his BA from Rutgers University-Camden. He also has experience working as a substitute teacher in the Berlin Township School District at John F. Kennedy Elementary school, Willingboro High, Willingboro Memorial Middle and Holy Cross Prep Academy. Additionally, he has worked as a substitute in the Camden, Cherry Hill, Haddonfield, Medford and Stratford School Districts. We are certain that Rick’s background will fit in well in our school community.
Currently, Rick also serves as the football coach at Holy Cross Prep Academy in Delran. He has passion for working with students to help them achieve their goals and become great examples for the rest of their communities. I am confident that he will make a positive impact with our students, staff, and parents. Please join me in welcoming Rick to the community.
Teacher Of The Year
Support Staff of the Year
Please join me again in congratulating Chris Mickle for being nominated as Magowan Elementary's 2018-2019 Support Staff Of The Year. From the moment I met Chris when I started, I knew that his primary focus was to serve all students, staff, and families here at Magowan. Thank you Chris for all that you do to keep our building operational!
Attention Parents of Pre Kindergarten Students:
The State of New Jersey requires that all Pre K students who will not be 5 years of age by December 31st to receive an Influenza shot by December 31st. Students under 5 years old who do not receive a Flu Shot by December 31st will be excluded from school. Please note that the State of NJ does not allow any “grace periods.” Parents of students who come to school on January 2nd without the shot will be called to pick up their student.

The nurse’s office is in need of clothing donations! Pants for boys and girls in sizes 4 through 12 are especially needed, so please take a few moments to gather those items that no longer fit your child and send them to the nurse’s office. Thank you! .

Attention parents of preschool children
Does your child have difficulty in one or more of the following areas:
Hearing - Seeing - Talking - Listening - Sitting - Standing - Walking - Running - Feeding One Self
Toilet Training - Socializing
The school district offers FREE PROGRAMS to preschool handicapped children. To be eligible a child must be 3-5 years old and qualify for services. Children under 3 may be served by early intervention programs. We believe the sooner a child's special needs can be determined, the better that child's chances to receive an appropriate education and develop his/her potential.
