STOWE LOST AND FOUND ...

We will be moving our Lost and Found tables to the front of the school next week. Please take a look to see if you can claim any of these items. The tables are cleaned off quarterly and items are donated.

If students lose glasses - those will be in the main office.

Picture Retake Day

Lifetouch will be doing picture retakes on Wednesday, November 23rd. If your child missed photos in October, this is another chance for them to get pictures taken. If you would like to have your child complete retakes, they must bring the original photo package with them to exchange.

OUR PTA NEEDS YOU

Looking for officers to help with PTA. Some of the big events at our site cannot happen without the support of our amazing parents! The PTA helps to coordinate and support our Peacemaker assemblies, Bookfair, End of Year carnival, etc.

Donations - Winter Gear - WE NEED YOUR HELP!

The cold weather is here to stay. We do have some spare winter gear kept at the school, but would welcome donations of items to keep here at school so all students can head outside for recess. We will have a space in the front office through the end of December for items to be dropped off. They must be freshly washed and in lightly worn or out-grown condition. (Coats, Snowpants, Boots, Mittens).

Stowe 5th Grade Spelling Bee

It was a strong battle between our top contestants! Congratulations to all of the participants - you did an amazing job. Izzy was our champion and will represent Stowe at the district Spelling Bee in December. Josslyn was our second place spelling master! Bravo to all of you: Gracie, Gabrielle, Whitney, and Ayden.

Winter Gear!

It is getting cold outside! Be sure to send your child with the outerwear they need. Students go outside for 20 minutes of recess every day. 😊 If you are in need of additional resources for winter gear we can work with you to get a referral to Kids Closet. Their contact information can be found here: https://www.kidsclosetofduluth.org/

Stowe Running Club - Girls on the Run

The cold didn't stop our amazing Stowe Elementary School Girls on the Run club from completing a 5K race on Saturday! Great job to all of the participants and a special THANK YOU to the fabulous coaches!

Hooray Stowe School Patrol!

Our amazing team of school patrols take care of the crosswalks each and every school day. They arrive early and stay late to help keep kids safe. Please say THANK YOU to them! We are so proud of the work that they do.

Safe Kids MN

Safe Kids MN is a state-wide organization that helps educate families about different safety concerns. They were at Stowe last week talking with students about safely riding in vehicles. Please see the attached brochure for more information about their organization.

Stay Safe - Winter Weather and Conditions ...

Families - with winter weather here ... be sure to budget extra time for your commute to school and be extra cautious in our pick up / drop off lanes. Remember that we all have the same goal - getting our children safely to and from school! Let the office know if there are icy conditions so that we can work with our facilities team to help.
