Spring Break Is In Reach

Spring Break April 18th-25th

Happy Sunday Patriots,

I hope your weekend was just enough fun to get excited about your Spring Break that is just a few days away. Once we get back from Spring Break, we are going to blink and this amazing year is going to be over!

I encourage us all to remember how lucky we are to be part of such a beautiful and loving school community. Patriots...Above anything else, be kind to each other and know that often what we see on the outside does not reflect the reality that people are living in every day.

In unrelated news... Mr. Summers gave Franklin a dog mullet.

I have no words.

As Always Patriots...

You are LOVED! ❤️

Accreditation Help

Hi Patriot Parents,

Every few years schools are required to go through the accreditation, and this year the Patriots are on deck. Part of the accreditation survey is to get stakeholder feedback and share it with the accreditation team.

If you have a moment, we would really appreciate your help with filling this out.

It will take 5-10 minutes and if you complete it you are guaranteed to have good luck the rest of the week. LOL

Thank you so much for your help!!

Welcome Our New Nutrition Services Manager Jeanna Bromley

We would like to introduce you to our new Junior High Kitchen Manager, Jeanna Bromley. Jeanna has been a part of our Nutrition Department team for 4 years. She enjoys the fast pace of the kitchen and being able to offer options to students and allow them to make decisions about what they want to eat. She’s excited for this new adventure and the opportunity to put smiles on students' faces through good food and great service.

US History Dred Scott v Sanford

This week US History has been working on the causes of the Civil War. One major cause was the court case Dred Scott v Sanford. The objective of our mock court was to allow students to see how to argue a position based on the laws of the time. We also work on-court demeanor and dress to help the student experience was it is like to be in court. They did an amazing job arguing some very difficult positions.

A Word From profesora Jennings and the Heritage Class

Big picture
We are very excited for a new focus in the Heritage Spanish class. Since the class is to teach Spanish-speaking students, we want to help students improve their reading fluency just as they do in the English language arts class. So we're going to start by measuring reading fluency every two weeks. Students will work together with the teacher to choose a goal and work towards it.

If you have questions or concerns about this new program, please contact Natalie Jennings: njennings@providencehall.com

When Patriots See Something They Say Something

Big picture

It is very important that our Patriots stay informed about the happenings of the school, so for those of you that have read this far, please email the code phrase to Mrs. Summers, from your student email account, for an opportunity to be put in a drawing for front of the lunch line pass, or a free dress down day!
