The war affected many civilians for the bad. Children and families were split apart and killed for no reson. One of the ways the soldiers killed the people was by poison gas. The total number of people killed was 10 million and there were 12 million people injured. There is no need for this massive number of people to be endangered.

Shell Shock
Men experienced shell shock while fighting in the front line. It was a series of mental breakdowns from the impact of the war and the trauma. The only way to help it was to take a break from fighting.

You can tell in this table that poison gas affected many countries and killed lots of people.

The soldiers were exhausted from fighting in the war. They were weak and didn't have much motivation. The soldiers that were suffering kept on fighting and never gave up. They are so strong and didn't deserve to be put into those types of situations.
