Welcome back!

Thank you for an amazing start to the 2020-2021 school year! We are so excited to see our Mustangs on campus and online. We appreciate your patience and flexibility as we work through the technology hiccups, attendance procedures and safety guidelines. We are so proud of the way that students have adapted to the protocols we have in place to help keep our students safe and engaged in learning.

2019-2020 Gym Locker Contents

Students who had items in their Gym Lockers in the Spring of 2020 that have not been picked up, students can pick up their items before school (starting at 7am-8:15am) or by appointment with the coaches no later than October 1st, 2020. Please plan to pick up your items before they are donated. Thanks!

Transportation

BUS FINDER This will give you bus number, bus stop information and time of pick up and drop off


No transportation changes or early dismissals will be accommodated after 3:00 pm.


BUS TRANSPORTATION CHANGES:

Students may not ride a different bus unless it has been approved through the Assistant Principal's office. This request must be turned in to the AP Secretary, Ms. Wachel, by email, parent note or you may call her at 832-249-5068 no later than 10 am on the day of the change.

No Deliveries

To ensure the safety of students and staff, delivery of food and forgotten items will not be allowed for the first nine weeks. We Will reassess the conditions at that time. Students will have the opportunity to have free lunch through the cafeteria at this time, if they forgot their lunch.

Student ID Badges

Students are required to wear their campus provided ID badges as well as their mask throughout the day. If a student did not receive their badge on the first day of school, they need to ask their 1st period teacher. All students will get an updated badge after picture day on 9/29.

MAP Testing Begins Soon!

Students are preparing to take our BOY (Beginning Of Year) MAP test through their Science, Math and ELA classes. If your child is a KOL student that would like to have the MAP test administered on campus, please reach out to Hildebrandt's Campus Testing coordinator, Kimi Williams kwilliams6@kleinisd.net, for more information on our campus testing center for a limited amount of Klein Online students.

Important Updates/Policies

Student Dress Code

Appropriate student dress and grooming are important factors in the safe and orderly operation of school. Each student’s appearance should reflect a positive image of self and contribute to a distraction-free learning environment.

Please refer to KISD Student Handbook for complete information regarding dress code.

General guidelines are as follows:

  • Pants must be worn at the waist or upper hips and must not reveal underclothing.
  • Ripped or frayed pants may not have holes close to or revealing undergarments .
  • Leggings may be worn with a shirt that does not reveal underclothing or skin.
  • Shorts, skirts, and dresses must be appropriate in length and may not reveal underclothing.
  • No type of head covering is to be worn in the building except for religious or medical purposes. Examples of head coverings not allowed are head scarves, bandanas, hats, caps, hoodies.
  • Students may not wear suggestive or inappropriately-located decorative patches, insignia, or clothing with improper advertising, pictures, slogans, or statements.
  • Appropriate footwear is required and must be worn at all time while on school property. Slippers/house shoes of any kind are not permitted.
  • Any attire or accessory that is distracting or disturbing will not be permitted on school property. This includes outfits that are too short, too revealing, low-cut, see-through, or backless. Underwear-styled garments should not be worn as outerwear for example bike shorts
  • Shirts must large enough to provide appropriate coverage.

If you question the appropriateness of an article of clothing, please do not allow your child to wear it to school.

Electronic Devices Reminder

Cell phones , air pods and other electronic devices are to be used at your own risk. Please make sure that you are keeping track of your personal items and locking them up during PE in your PE lockers.

Tardies

Tardies are calculated every 3 weeks by the grade level AP. If students are contentiously late to class, they will have consequences as outlined below. Please talk to your child about the importance of being on time. Thanks!
