A Message from Mrs. Fantaskey

Student Arrival ~ School begins at 8:35 AM

Just a friendly reminder that our school day begins at 8:35 AM. Please plan to have your child here closer to 8:25 AM, so they are able to arrive in their classrooms and prepare for the beginning of the day.

Our bell rings at 8:35 AM, the doors are closed, and our announcements begin. If you are arriving after 8:35 AM, parents should park and escort students to the main office to sign in. For students who are late, arrival time and reason must be verified by parent when they bring the student to the office.

Thank you for your cooperation.

~Mrs. Fantaskey

Parent/Teacher Conferences - Sign Ups Begin on 11/16

It is hard to believe, but we are planning for our 1st trimester conferences. Please note that the conference sign ups will go live on Tuesday, November 16th at 8:00 AM. Your child's teacher will send you an email with the link to their conference sign up genius. This year, parents will be given the option of attending conferences in person or virtually via Teams. Please let your child's teacher know your preference.

We look forward to welcoming our parents and celebrating your child's progress so far this school year.

American Education Week

We will be sending a special edition of the Eagle Flyer to include pictures of our students engaged in meaningful learning activities in each classroom, as we celebrate the wonderful experiences our students have each day. Stay tune later next week!

Thanksgiving Share 2021

During this Thanksgiving season, the staff and students of Doyle Elementary School plan to share the spirit of this time of warmth, caring, and love with families from our local neighborhood. We would like to share this project as an entire school community and create Thanksgiving food boxes for our families who need extra support. Through this cooperative effort of Doyle’s staff, students, parents and community members, we can realize again the valuable lesson that real joy in life comes from sharing.

Please help us by clicking on the link below and reading the list, which will tell you what each classroom is asked to contribute.

The Thanksgiving Share collection will be

from Friday, November 5 to Tuesday, November 16, 2021.

If you would like to donate a gift card for a family or make a monetary donation that would be used to purchase food for the collection, please send the donation in an envelope marked “Attention Ms. Kowalchick / Thanksgiving Share” and include your name and contact information.

Thank you!

**Please understand that this project is purely voluntary.**

Thank you for your care and support!

Ms. Tracy Kowalchick Student Support Counselor

Veterans Day Wall of Fame

We are excited to honor our Veterans for this upcoming Veterans Day with various activities. One of our most favorite is our Wall of Honor. We would love to have as much Doyle family participation, as possible.

If you or a family member is currently serving or has served in the US Armed Forces, please e-mail a picture of that person in uniform with name and relationship to our students. All pictures should be emailed to bernst@cbsd.org.

Our students will also take part in various classroom activities on Veterans Day.

Health & Safety Reminders

As always, the health and safety of our students and staff members remains a priority for us. As we follow the health and safety plan, if your child is exhibiting symptoms, we ask that you keep them home until the symptoms have resolved. Please reach out to our health office if you have any questions or concerns. We appreciate your support during this time.

Technology Access for International Travel

Currently, the Technology and Innovation Department blocks Microsoft Office 365 logins to Outlook, OneDrive, ClassLink, and Canvas from foreign countries. This aids in protecting our CBSD user accounts and organization from malicious computer attacks from outside of the United States.

Students who travel cannot assume their devices will work once they leave the United States. For student out-of-country access requests, please know that access to technology for vacations will not be approved at this time.
