Childbuilders
Childbuilders is an organization that provides resources for parents of PK-5th grade students. Through a grant from the George Foundation, the webinar series is free this year. The 3 webinar topics and dates are as follows:
- May 4th : Keeping Kids Safe in a Troubled World 12:00-1:00 CST
- February 23rd & April 13th Feeling Stressed: Learn Mindfulness Parenting 12:00-1:00 CST
- March 2nd & April 6th When Children Test Your Patience: How to Parent with Empathy 12:00-1:00 CST
Weekly Parent-School Connection
Shortest to Tallest
PK-5
Gather all the soap, shampoo, and lotion bottles in your house and put them in a pile. Before lining them up, predict (make a good guess) which one will be the tallest then line them up from shortest to tallest. Was your prediction correct? Mix them up then line them up from tallest to shortest.
Physics and Engineering Festival at TAMU
We’re excited to announce Physics and Engineering Festival 2022 for Saturday, April 2, 2022!
This year’s festival will feature both in-person AND virtual science fun!
The festival website, https://physicsfestival.tamu.edu, has
- the schedule,
- information about parking for passenger vehicles and school buses,
- photos and videos from previous festivals, and
- a link for downloading the 2022 festival poster for your classrooms.
Students can submit their questions to our outreach team AND enter for a chance to win a box of science goodies! Teachers and school administrators can also enter to win goodies in a giveaway exclusively for schools!
