High School Band Booster Meeting -- Superintendent to Present

February 9 @ 7PM in the High School Band Room

Band Booster Meeting

Dr. Monsees, RP Superintendent, will be at our band booster and we are asking all band parents attend this meeting. He will be discussing OUR NEW BAND ROOM and the new addition to the RP South HS. All these things will be presented to RP public on the April ballot through a No-Tax Increase bond issue. We hope that many of you will attend. This is extremely important that we have as many in attendance as possible. This will greatly affect your child.

Father/Daughter Dance

The last few weeks we have been discussing (daily) in class the opportunities for your child to raise money for their HS band accounts. (Band accounts help pay band fees/band trips.)

Your kids have been informed about the Father/Daughter dance repeatedly. This Saturday, February 13th is the actual dance. Students can go to the NORTH HS cafeteria and work all day for the dance. Then, they may work that night and help out with the dance.

This is the note from the HS band parents:

The Father Daughter Dance is one of the band student's biggest fundraisers. Last year we had almost 600 girls attend!! We need your help to make this year another great success! The first link is to sign up for the location you would like to work in for the dance. We need student and adult volunteers. The second is for cookie donations. The profits from the dance are split between the students that work or make cookies based on the time they put in. All funds go directly to the students band accounts to help cover band fees or trip expenses.
