Latest News
Teachers are beginning to reach out to schedule welcome back conferences with you using Sign-Up Genius. Check your email and sign up for a time!
Our plan for morning arrival includes assigned breakfast seating outside and spaced apart in the cafeteria. Non-eaters will be socially distanced, sitting in the gym by cohort with masks while they wait to go to their classroom at 7:47 am.
Our plan for lunches includes inside and outside seating and students sitting at least 3 feet apart in assigned spots. We will open the garage door for more air flow. Our tentative plan includes letting children go outside to recess when they are finished eating.
CAR/walker Pick-Up at Dismissal: will be based on a number system and using a vinyl car sticker for the inside of your vehicle window. Family members will have the same number and grouped together at the end of the day outside. More details to come.
**Please know that this will take time on the first few days of school. Be prepared for delays and it will get faster over time.
Parents will not be allowed to walk students into the building to their classrooms this year. Please plan on dropping your student at the sidewalk and letting them walk up to the doors. Students on buses arrive on N Birch St. See map below.
For Kinders, our plan includes nametags and sorting them by class in the music room. Staff will help all students into the building
We will adjust our plans as needed, but this is to start!

Community news
Hispanic Heritage Month is Sept 15-Oct 15. We acknowledge that cultures and identities should be celebrated each day, every day, 24/7. And, we acknowledge that we can provide special programming, histories, and awareness to underrepresented communities in our educational spaces. We also acknowledge that "Hispanic heritage" can be considered limiting; there is much more diversity and depth to identities. Please reach out if you have ideas so we can hear from you!

Thank you to the Volunteers from Sonrise Church who came by and did some beautiful landscaping and refreshing of our garden beds last Saturday. It really made a big difference!
