Austin Elementary Service Project

The students pictured took a trip to Austin, Indiana on Friday, April 29th. They presented the 2nd Grade Science Night curriculum during the school day. Attending the trip with Mr. Pastrick were Alex Suarez, Kyana Maldonado, Stephanie Hano, Allison Betts, Peyton Syrovatka, Mikey McGlothlen, Rhyker Schatz, Tanner Roy, Jade Olsen, Ellie Wagoner, Mackenzie Hein, Zoe Parsons and Faith Cooke. 8th Grade Trip!

The 8th Grade Class will be celebrating the end of the school year with a trip to "The Steel Yard" to watch the Gary South Shore Railcats play the Lincoln Saltdogs in Minor League Baseball action. The game will be held on Monday, May 16th with the first pitch at 11 am. We will be joining other schools from around Northwest Indiana in their "School Day" event that features many fun activities to go along with the game. Look for more information and a permission slip for our 8th Grade students soon!

Track and Field

The Hebron Middle School Track and Field Team competed against Kankakee Valley and Demotte Christian on Monday. This was the final home meet for the team.

Top performers for the girls team were: Zoe Parsons, Jessica Rodriguez, Kyana Maldonado, Sydney Earley and Sheana Crawley.

Top performers for the boys team were: Alex Crawley, Ethan Drook, James Fentress, Reece Marrs and Steven Swinson.

Next week the team will face off against several Porter County Conference teams.

Library Fundraiser

The Hebron Middle School Library collects "Box Tops" to help supply more books for students at Hebron Middle School. If you have any box tops, please send them in with your child! If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Wilber in the Middle School Library. Thank you for your support!

21st Century Scholars

Indiana’s 21st Century Scholars is a needs and performance based program that provides students the opportunity to earn up to a four-year scholarship at an Indiana college or university. Hoosier students who meet income criteria can enroll during their 7th- or 8th-grade year of middle school. Scholars are provided resources and assistance to help them plan and prepare for college and pay for expenses not covered by their scholarship. Click the link below to learn more!
