Weather Instruments

Thermometer

It's used to find out the temperature in a room, food, the weather outside. It measures in Fahrenheit (F) and Celsius(C), Fahrenheit being hotter and Celsius colder.

Barometer

It measures atmospheric pressure. Evangelistic Torricelli was credited in inventing the Barometer, but Gasparo Berti was also historically documented to unintentionally built a water barometer between 1640 and 1643.

Sling Psychrometer

An instrument used for measuring the moisture content in the atmosphere. Usually rely on other measurements such as temperature, pressure, mass, or a mechanical or electrical charge in a substance as moisture if formed. Also knows as a hygrometer.

Rain Gauge

Instruments used by meteorologist and hydrologist to gather and measure the rain fall.

Wind Vane

Usually set on houses, used to measure the direction of the wind.

Anemometer

It measures wind speed and is usually used as a weather station instrument.

Weather Map

Displays various meteorological features across a particular area at a particular point in time and has various symbols which all have specific meanings.

Hygrometer

It's pretty much the same as a Sling Psychrometer. It measures the moisture in the air.

Weather Satellite

Instrument used to measure the weather and climate of the earth.

You use them to inspect the world around you. See the weather (rain, sleet, snow) and one of the five senses used in everyday life.
