It is almost summer

...except for the frost we are expecting tonight. Ugh!

Online learning continues in Maryville City Schools through the end of this week. From May 11 to May 22, teachers will focus their attention on students who need additional academic support and credit recovery. The last two weeks of school will also be used to “close-out” the year – collect devices and library books, cleanout lockers, and other activities. Watch your email for details from your school.

LAMAR ALEXANDER SCHOLARS

We are #MaryvilleProud of these deserving scholars who received scholarships or monetary awards as noted below. The Lamar Alexender scholarship program is awarded through the Maryville City Schools Foundation in honor of Senator Lamar Alexander. Recipients are selected by MHS teachers. The criteria for selection include academic achievement, service, leadership, extracurricular activities, and integrity in all aspects of the school community. Please join us in congratulating these outstanding students.

----------FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION----------

FLYER DISTRIBUTION

If you would like to receive community AND school flyers on your phone or computer to stay up-to-date about student enrichment programs and events in the community, please consider registering with PEACHJAR. We use this service to reduce the amount of paper we use, eliminate the human capital needed to distribute flyers, and give families the flexibility to filter the content they receive. Many families appreciate how this program works and we think you will too. Give it a try! https://peachjar.com/register.php?c[bypass_registration_code]=1

UT K-12 Online Reading Classes

This popular reading program for K-12 students is now online and UT has reduced the standard rate for participants. Classes are available throughout the summer. The class format is live and teacher-led. Over 50,000 school-age students have been involved in this program over the past five years. Learn more at https://utk.readingclasses.org.

ROSETTA STONE

We just learned about this free offer which gives students access to Rosetta Stone for the next three months. It might be something to check out for the summer! Enjoy! LINK HERE
