Halo Highlight: Summer Reminders
Dear Saints Families,
We hope you are all enjoying the summer break. Make sure to use this time to rest and rejuvenate, but don't forget about Summer Assignments! Many of these must be completed immediately when the new school year begins (first day - Aug. 12), so please stay on track.
Students can find their Summer Assignments posted on our school website here. Incoming freshmen also have some summer assignments, so click the link for details.
OTHER SUMMER REMINDERS:
- The front office has received several calls about a new student supply list. Please note - During the first week of school, students will be told by each teacher what supplies they will need for the year!
- If your child is getting a driver’s permit or license this summer, he/she will need a proof of enrollment from the school. Click here to request proof of enrollment online.
- Summer is also a great time to get a jump start on your Apostolic Hours, being the hands and feet of Christ for others. We have a list of opportunities to volunteer in the community on our website. Remember, completion of Apostolic Hours will be counted as a Theology test grade in both the 2nd and 4th quarters of the 2019-2020 school year.
- Join our #SaintsRead Summer Challenge! Requirements and rewards are on the Summer Assignments page as well as St. Louis Catholic's social media platforms.
- Place your ads in our 2019 Saints Gameday Program before the deadline expires Aug. 12! Click here to fill out the form and pay by credit card. Students are not required to sell ads; instead, this program is a service to you – our St. Louis Catholic community, and we are very excited to enhance our product with custom content for each game for the upcoming season – think 50th anniversary highlights, homecoming tributes and team features. All ads will be custom designed and in full color! Please contact Rachel Jones, Assistant Director of Communications, at rjones@slchs.org or 494-0724 with any questions.
Announcements - Mark Your Calendars!

Student News
Students Attend CyberDiscovery Camp at Louisiana Tech
Recently, six Saints freshmen and math teacher Mrs. Laurie McNally spent a week at Louisiana Tech for the 2019 CyberDiscovery camp. Their time was packed with activities such as learning crypt-analysis techniques and participating in a cyber treasure hunt, coding lessons and robotics challenges such as the maze, golf, soccer, and the marble challenge, as well as writing their own storyline and presenting the skit to the judges.
Even though it was their first year participating in the camp and they had little knowledge of what to expect, they quickly worked their way up to become one of the top teams in every competition. The students who attended were Madelyn Burnett, Grant Manuel, Nathaniel McNally, Darren Metoyer, Christopher Tassin and Canyon Vallier.
Send Your Prayer Requests for COR Expedition to Ms. Orgeron by June 25

Please email any prayer requests, even if silent or unstated, to Ms. Orgeron before Tuesday, June 25, with the subject line: COR EXPEDITION PRAYER REQUEST. We also ask for your prayers for a fruitful and safe journey.
