North East ISD
Family Engagement Program
Happy New Year!
Parents are their children's first and ongoing teacher. It's best to show your children how it's done. Your actions show your children how to handle their feelings and behavior. When you're feeling angry or frustrated, modeling respectful and patient behavior shows your children the best way to handle tough feelings or situations. Great examples of modeling behaviors: let them see you reading books, hear you speak positive about them to other adults, and give sincere compliments to other adults.
