A Message from Mr. Raber
Always great to be back with the Sea Dragons after a week off! A few updates from your Assistant Principal...
Our school-wide Positive Behavior Pride Passes continue to be utilized mostly during our Lunch blocks by support staff. Students have been steadily improving each week with our school-wide expectations, earning Pride Passes for their classrooms. Just as a reminder, passes are distributed to individual students, however only their classroom number is written on the ticket. This helps promote more equity so all students can benefit from a classroom incentive. Each classroom is working toward 100 passes with more and more inching towards this goal! We are so excited to see students now saying "We got another Pride Pass," instead of "I."
Also, we'd like to thank parents and students for adjusting to the new line up during arrival at the front gate near the office. This has helped with a safer and smoother walk into school. Please continue to line up along the sidewalk towards the front office. This will provide our families with a safer and more efficient way to start their day!
Intervention Specialists Update to Families
Hello Lin Howe Families!
We hope everyone has had a great start to the new school year. We wanted to share with you that this year Lin Howe has two full time Intervention Teachers, Ms. Ashley Hall and Ms. Diana Hiller. We have been working hard the past month to get to know all of the students here at Lin Howe by going out on the yard during recess, helping out with lunch and going into classrooms. It has been fun building relationships with the kids in this way!
All universal screenings have been completed for students in grades 1-5. Be on the lookout for a welcome letter from one of us that will let you know if we are working with your student to help boost their skills in reading and/or math. If you have any questions, or would like to know more about what intervention is please do not hesitate to send either of us an email, or check out our intervention website that gives you more information about the intervention process.
** Use the camera on your phone to scan the QR code below to take you directly to the website or go to https://sites.google.com/ccusd.org/linwoodehoweintervention/home **
Warm regards,
Ms. Hall
