PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE
The end of the semester is near - and what a semester it was. There was nothing that resembles a normal semester - except one thing. The Tbolt tradition of family was successfully maintained, while it was challenged on a variety of levels. In a pandemic AND a time of political and social discord, our school community found ways to remain together when there were ample reasons for us to disconnect. This is a symbol of hope that we will recover, and recover stronger than ever, from this dark time for our community.
As we break for the winter, we will come back with the goal of building towards recovery. Our second semester will begin in Stage 3 and we will continue to follow all recommendations with the goal of returning more in person learning, continued athletics and activities, and build a version of our end of year celebrations and ceremonies. It is too early to promise anything, but the national data is supporting the notion that schools are safe places during this pandemic and the beginning of the vaccine distribution minimally gives us hope.
I wish everyone a safe holiday break and look forward to a 2021 where optimism and positivity reign!

ATHLETICS
Greetings T-Bolt families. On behalf of our full athletic staff here at VJA we want to wish everyone a safe and relaxing winter break! As many of you already know, we continue to be in a temporary pause for winter sports. The IHSA Board of Directors is meeting on December 14th, and should that meeting lift our pause in any way, we will communicate that change with our families immediately. As of now, all workouts, in-person meetings, practices, and competitions remain suspended. Always know you can also go to our athletic website for up-to-date information pertaining to our department: Andrew Athletic Page. We remain committed to our athletes and continue to connect with them in a virtual setting. In closing, we also continue to encourage parents to please be paid/active members of our amazing Athletic Booster Club. Information on how to join is also available on our website. BELIEVE-PREPARE-PERFORM!
