Quality in the Classroom
How to improve quality of learning in the classroom.
Helping Flying Friends
Help Build a Bird Nest is an activity we'll be doing in the Spring to help our neighboring flying friends build their nests, so that they can lay their eggs. We'll be taking various different colors of yarn, string, and even dryer lint outside to place on trees and other plants for birds to gather for their nests.
Wonder of the Day
In our classroom, we will be exploring the "Wonder of the Day" on a regular basis. Everything from "What Makes Glitter Sparkle?" to "How Many Donuts Are In A Baker's Dozen?" has been researched and the history explored to accurately answer every question.
Outfits for Bobbie Bear
The Bobbie Bear interactive activity is going to be used in our preschool classroom as a counting tool, as well as helping us label our colors. The student or teacher can customize the number of pants and shirts for a customized number of options for outfits that Bobbie can wear.
We will be creating Shadow Pictures, since the sun has been out more these past few weeks. Students will be paired up, or helped by a teacher, to create a picture using the shadow of a leaf and drawing the outline on paper below it. We will use many different colors and leaves, and display them in our classroom once they're done.
Tell Your Story
The students will use their vocab words to write a creative story. This will allow the students to be creative and use their vocab in different ways. They will find different meanings in words and learn more about their classmates through their words on the page.
Writing Through An Image
The students will study an image of their choice and create a story from that image. This project will show their creativity side as well as teach them history and detail about the picture they chose.
