What is Parkinson´s Disease?

Parkinson's Disease is a disease that occurs later in life and affects the cells that information to and from the brain. It affects a person morally because they can become depressed, distracted, forgetful, and tired. It affects a person socially because the way that they talk from the disease can make them have a negative impression on people. They can also become awkward and confusing when they have conversations, so people may avoid or dislike them.

How can science help?

Scientists have been doing studies on PD for years, and have come up with hopeful results. They figured out that stem cells, or nerve cells can help replenish your amount of lost brain cells. They have also come up with therapies, surgeries, and medications that can help reduce the symptoms of the disease.
