A Note from the Front Office

We wanted to take a moment to thank all of our families for their understanding and support as we navigate the re-entry of masks during the school day.


Our mission at Cimarron is to ensure that we all have a safe environment where each student can learn and socialize each day to reach their fullest potential. The Cimarron Staff's goal is to keep students in school. When masks are not worn, or worn improperly, we are required to report that to TriCounty Health.


We have been so excited to have all of us back in the building! There has been so much energy, positivity and involvement. We want to continue to be able to provide these experiences for students and families. If everyone can help to limit the spread of COVID, we can all remain in school and keep moving forward with our mission.


One of the things that we are trying to keep from happening is to have Tri County Health mandate that Cimarron has to start cohorting and separate teams, cancel our gatherings like assemblies, or more quarantines. The last thing we want to see is them shutting our doors to go to a remote setting.


We would like to ask for your support in reminding your students to wear a mask, unless your student has a medical exemption.


Our goal is to keep all students at Cimarron each and everyday and to keep the focus on teaching and learning.


As a reminder if your student is experiencing any symptoms please see the attached symptom screening document (link) for guidance on when it is safe to return to school after illness. This document is also available on the district website, under "Looking Forward"

School Support Campaign

Cimarron community: Yesterday we began our important annual School Support Campaign to raise money to build an on campus greenhouse that will benefit all our students. Last year we did not do a campaign due to Covid and we hope we can count on your support to help make Cimarron the best it can be. This is a Safe, Simple and Fun program. It is all online and there is no money to collect and nothing to deliver. We offer something for everyone, even an option for donations. Just check the attached flyer for all the details and please plan to participate by sharing our online store. We will have some fun rewards and spirit building class competitions to keep it fun for the students. Please click on the link below to get more information.

PTO Upcoming Events

Our PTO meetings will be every 2nd Friday of every month with our next meeting on Friday 9/10 at 10am at Cimarron. If you can’t make it in person, we will have a virtual option available. Look for that link closer to the meeting date on our PTO facebook and the Cimarron Website.

Our Next Restaurant Spirit night will be Tuesday, September 14th at Mici from 11AM to 8:30PM - Mention Cimarron when paying or show the virtual flyer. If ordering online, Use coupon Code CIMARRON so they know your order is to support the school.

Save the date for our annual event, Festival of Trees! It will be December 4th! We need businesses to participate. There will be a committee meeting this Saturday, 9/4 at 8am at Fika Idyllwilde. Take a look at the flyer below for more information!

Our staff appreciation committee needs your help! To help take care of our teachers during the upcoming parent-teacher conferences, we need donations of food and non-food items, and volunteers to help set up and clean up on both nights. Academic Support

Please remember that our Colts Club takes place every Tuesday and Thursday from 2:45-3:45 in the Library. Any student is welcome to come to have a quiet place to complete work and get support from a certified teacher. There is no need to sign up. Don't miss out on this free opportunity for your student.

Registration for 6-8th Grade Flag Football and 7th Grade Girls Volleyball is now, see Athletic web page for more information! Please make sure you are turning in an updated Sports Physical before the first day of practice! Go Colts!!

Please see My School Bucks for more detailed information regarding clubs. All sign-ups must be completed on myschoolbucks.com. You can access the link to register for each club under the Athletics and Activities tab on our website and select Club Information and Registration.

Parent Teacher Conferences

Collaboration with our parents is a vital component of student success at Cimarron Middle School. This fall, Cimarron’s Parent-Teacher Conferences will be held on September 22nd and 23rd, from 3:30-7:00pm.


Two types of conferences will occur again this year - scheduled and open house. Scheduled conferences will be set up by each team.

  • These scheduled conferences will be held between 3:30-5:00 pm both nights.

  • Invitations will be sent to specific families for designated times.

If you are not contacted for a scheduled conference, you are invited to attend the open house.

  • Open house will begin at 5:00 and end at 7:00 pm both nights.
