Communication Students Achieve Finalist Status on NESN's Next Producer!
Student Gwen Mason Callahan Places in Top Five Screenplays for 2015 Mass Indie Film Festival
The Department of Communication is proud to announce the success of another one of its students, Gwen Mason Callahan, who placed in the final top five screenplays for the 2015 Massachusetts Independent Film Festival. Her feature length screenplay was entitled "Lost and Bound." She credits her professor John Lynch and the Communication Department program at Worcester State University for her success.
Recent Graduate Nathan Herrera hired to be WSU Marketing Coordinator
The Communication Department is proud of the stellar achievements of recent graduate, Nathan Herrera, who began his career in marketing by applying his skills from Communication to an internship with Tara Probeck, Executive Director of Marketing. Nathan was hired this Fall and now serves as the WSU Marketing Coordinator.
Graduate Meghan Alaire uses Social Media Marketing Skills as Chartwells Marketing Manager
The Chartwell Dining Marketing Manager, Meghan Alaire, is a 2012 WSU Communication Department Graduate with a concentration in Public Relations. She is in her third year with the Chartwells team at Worcester State University as the regional Marketing Manager. She attributes her successes in part to her social media courses and internships with the Communication Department faculty. The Communication Department continues to work with Meghan by providing new department interns who help develop Chartwell's social media outreach.
