Woodbury Junior-Senior High School - Weekly Newsletter
Friday, June 5, 2020
Message From the Principal:
Hello Parents!
As we enter June and the school year winds down, I just want to draw your attention to the many virtual events that have been released or will be released soon. The Academic Banquet was featured in last week's newsletter. The end-of-the-year AVID celebration is linked below. 6th Grade Orientation, 6th & 7th Grade Awards Assemblies, and 8th Grade Promotion will premiere on YouTube in the next two weeks.
Moreover, the detailed schedule for pick up/drop off of materials starting on June 15 is listed below. We have designed it to be a seamless process where you can drop off materials to school and get anything your child left behind without having to enter the building; please see the flyer below.
Have an enjoyable weekend!
In partnership,
Dr. Vivadelli

Ms. Fitzgerald’s AVID 9 Class
Time certainly flies! Our AVID 9 class took a moment to not only think about a year they’re not soon to forget, but look forward to their senior by writing an email to their future self through futureme.org ! This time three years from now, they’ll get to read those words of hope and inspiration!
Literacy with Mrs. Fehre
My Literacy students are working in Quindew. Students are able to read texts at their level, mark textual details, and answer questions using textual evidence. They learn in real-time with on-demand lessons, second chance opportunities, and question feedback. Students are motivated by personal goals and external rewards in the form of badges and cherries.
Ms. Cheyney’s Design Class
Ms. Cheyney’s Design Thinking class completed a Bedroom Makeover project in which students were to measure and draw a floor plan of their bedroom, select new furniture, paint, and flooring, and include an area specifically for “remote learning.”
