A Message From Superintendent Michael Farmer
It looks like the summer weather has arrived just in time for summer break. After a tumultuous school year, everyone deserves these next two months to rest, relax, and recharge. I hope you and your family get time this summer to have fun, enjoy the outdoors, and spend time with friends and family.
Over the last two years, when I’m asked in meetings to introduce myself, I share my name, where I work, and my job title. When I share how many years I’ve been working in Dieringer I joke and say that this past year is my third first year as your Superintendent. After starting here in the summer of 2019, and with the pandemic hitting in March of 2020, I haven’t had the chance to experience a typical end of the school year.
I’m happy to say that we finally were close to a “normal” conclusion of the school year. This spring, and especially the last three weeks of school, were such a wonderful time for our students, and I hope it was for you our parents as well. Visiting schools and classrooms was such a joy these last few weeks. Students, teachers, and staff were engaged in so many fun and memorable activities. Events like field day and 8th grade graduation that included our parents were even more amazing.
Thank you again for your support and understanding these past nine months as we navigated a most challenging school year.
As we head into summer, stay safe and enjoy your break.
