KMB Fall Newsletter

September 2019

Completion of the new logo launch

We updated signs, caps, name tags, and the KMB trailer. We were really excited about having it ready before the Volunteer Park Rededication. Our new logo also now appears on the Volunteer Park Mural.

Volunteer Park Gets a Make Over

The opening of Volunteer Park brought out the Mayor and City Council as well as the news and the Chamber for a Ribbon Cutting. We were also able to locate the Family of the original designer of the park to attend. We have seen a lot of people stopping to take pictures, and that was the goal. Just a few more steps and we will have this one complete! Our beautification committee is just getting started, there are even more improvements coming.

The 10 On Tuesday Challenge Picks Up Momentum

We issued the challenge for groups, companies, and individuals to send us their pictures of getting their 10 On Tuesday. The Midland Fire Department, Police Department, Sherriff's Department, and Environmental Unit answered the call! We challenge you to send us a picture of you getting in your 10! https://www.keepmidlandbeautiful.org/programs/10-on-tuesday

Trio Of Gardens was a huge success!

The brunch event this year was held at Fasken Oil and Ranch. We could not have done it without our Sponsors, Gardens, the Permian Basin Master Gardeners, and Bubbles Event Planning. We met our fundraising goals and had a great time while we were at it! https://www.keepmidlandbeautiful.org/events/trio-of-gardens

We are just getting started and will continue our relationships with last year's Clean Campus contestants and the library. Just delivered more bins to the new Young Women's Campus, presented to the Midland Soccer Association Coaches, and presented to the Young Professional of Midland this fall to start the year off right! One of our Trash 4 Cash groups sent us this picture as they used their funds to attend a tournament, they won!
