Here is what’s new for Lyon County 4-H
Beef Project Meeting
There will be a beef project meeting on November 14th at 7 p.m. at the Extension Office. We will be discussing possible programming options for the beef project for the new year and selecting who will serve as beef superintendents from the application pool.
November Federation Meeting
The next Lyon County Federation meeting will be held Monday, November 13th, at 7 p.m. at the Extension office. We will be approving the proposed federation budget, approving the federation charter, making county goals, and learning about club engagement.
Regional Officer Training
Fall into 4-H project kits
Fall into 4-H with some creative, at home learning projects. This fall themed kit will include four different projects and explore a variety of areas. Each activity will include the primary supplies, instructions, and additional information needed to create the different projects/activities.
These easy projects will allow 4-H members some creative time to do things independently, work together with siblings or other 4-H members, and build off of their learning. Plus, all projects can be utilized as exhibits at next year’s county fair.
Audience: All ages are welcome to participate!

Save the date for Round Up Awards Banquet
Our annual Round Up Awards Banquet will be held at the Adult Community Center on November 19, starting at 5 p.m. The meal will be catered. Let's celebrate everyone's accomplishments!
Annual Volunteer Traning Watch Party
Join us at the Living Word Lutheran Church on November 14 at 6:30 p.m. for our watch party. Be one of the first Lyon County 4-Hers to re-enroll this year! Re-enrollment is now open on 4HOnline. If you need assistance, you can refer to this guide or call the office.
In order to remain enrolled, you will need to show your family’s intent to participate by logging in to 4-H Online and reviewing, updating, and submitting the following information:
Your family's contact information and demographic information, including club, school, and grade
Each family member's health and emergency contact information
Project areas of interest for this coming year
