TIGER TALK

Week of October 18, 2021

Safety Reminder

It has come to our attention that some walkers and bike riders are not being safe once they are in the neighborhood. We cross the students in the neighborhood at Oak Grove; however, we cannot supervise them throughout the neighborhood. Please speak with your child about watching both ways before they cross the street. Students are also gathering at the pool instead of walking/riding straight home.

Mrs. K's Counseling Corner

  • Our "Essential 36" manner of the week: "Apologize to others for wrong doings."

  • Mrs. Tate's 4th grade class will be assisting with our morning announcements. This is a great way for our students to practice leadership skills and become confident communicators!

  • In Mrs. K.'s Peace classes, students are learning the differences between "mean moments", "conflict", and "bullying." Click HERE for an overview of how bullying is defined, the roles involved, and helpful tips to address bullying behavior. We are taking a proactive approach at Brock Elementary by teaching kindness and acceptance of others. We are also learning how mean acts negatively affect others and how to productively work through conflict.

As the weather is getting cooler, please write your child's name on his/her jackets. We have a full lost and found already. We have laid the lost and found items out in the hallway. The lost and found is growing each and every day. If your child is missing items, please ask them to check the lost and found.
