Physical Properties
Gold is both malleable and ductile. Gold has a shiny, illuminating look as well. Gold is also a very soft metal which allows it to be shaped.
Chemical properties
Gold does not react with water but when mixed with chlorine it creates trihalides gold(lll). Gold dissolves in aqua regia. Gold also reacts with iodine to form monohalide gold (l).

When gold was mixed with chlorine it looks like this. It turnes black and starts to dissolve the gold.
Auqa Regia
This is auqa regia, a mixture that dissolves gold.
Compounds/ uses
Some common gold compounds include gold+ chlorine= AuCl, gold+ iodine= AuI, and gold+ bromine= AuBr. Gold also has multiple uses. Some examples include all sorts of jewelery, decorations, currency, and electronics.
