Do you have what it takes to be a leader?
Do one or more of these traits apply to you?
- Outstanding communication skills
- Critical and/or creative thinking
- Creative problem solving
- Strong decision-making skills
- Sensitivity to the needs or concerns of others
- Charismatic personality
- Courage to speak out for one's beliefs
- Courage to challenge authority
- Participation and/or interest in community service
If so, apply to be the Schuyler High School Sophomore Representative at the State Leadership Seminar in June. Dates and Location are TBD.
How to Apply
Students who are interested in being the school representative need to make a video of themselves and why they should be our representative, and they need to describe the most rewarding and challenging aspect of being a leader in his or her school and community.
The school will pick one representative and an alternate in case the winner can not attend.
The video doesn't have to be fancy but creativity is always fun. You should have the video uploaded on Google Classroom by November 7th. The code to join the Hoby State Leadership classroom is y87hsdn.
If you have questions email me at (katherine.bertrand@schuylercommunityschools.org) or see me in my office.
The winner and alternate student will be notified by the end of November.
