From the Principal

Week two is almost a wrap! I am proud of our students and how well they are beginning this school year! Take a minute this weekend to talk to your student about what is going well at LSRO!

Today, we kicked off our Big Kahuna fundraiser that we do annually at LSRO! Please check your child's backpack for all the information and help us raise money for our campus!

Also, be sure that you are registered for our Parent Portal! Stay up to date on your child's attendance and grades this year. Let us know if you have questions or need help accessing the Parent Portal!

Have a great weekend!

Mrs. Shepherd

When you are ready to learn you have the ability to efficiently and accurately locate information. You are able to evaluate the information and determine its worth, then use the information to achieve your goal. By doing these things, you are using the leader attribute INFORMATION LITERACY.

This weeks I will statement is: “I will find relevant information to help me learn new things.”

Perfect Attendance Incentives

Life School Red Oak would like to encourage our students to be in attendance each day to make sure they can “Ready to Learn, Ready to Lead, Ready for Life.” We will hold a drawing at the end of each month for all students that have perfect attendance for that month. There will be a prize for students that are in Kindergarten thru 3rd grade and a prize for students in 4th grade thru 6th grade. The prize winners will be announced during morning announcements and we will contact the parents/guardians to come by the office to pick up the prizes. Please see Pages 3-4 of the Student Handbook for the Attendance guidelines.

Prizes for August: Huffy bicycle and a Razor scooter

This week we highlighted Texas State University in San Marcos. TX State has a beautiful campus with appox 34,000 students studying a wide array of disciplines including food services, business and performing arts. Visit for more information.
