WELCOME TO FULLER MIDDLE SCHOOL PHYSICAL EDUCATION!
We have had a great time getting to know your students over the past 6 weeks. The students have been very active in class and are having a lot of fun! We look forward to challenging our students even more both in remote and when in person learning can take place.
We have 3 Physical Education teachers at Fuller. Mr. Eugene Zanella, Miss Rachel Spielberg, and Mrs. Lisa Columbo. Mr. Zanella has taught at Fuller for the past 4 years and previously taught at Framingham High School. Miss Spielberg has joined our staff this year and she looks forward to meeting all of our students once we are back for in person learning. Mrs. Columbo has taught at Fuller Middle School for 15 years and is also the Team Leader for all of the Unified Arts teachers.
We look forward to having a great year with your students and look forward to the day when we can all return to Fuller.

CURRICULUM
Physical Education Curriculum
Students will learn many different types of sports and activities at Fuller. Right now during remote learning, students are being taught several aspects of fitness; how to find and take their pulse and using those numbers in relation to their activity, individual and group exercise program design. Students are engaging in many fitness activities, many that we do as a class and some that students are doing on their own utilizing different websites.
This year may look different but in a typical year students have the opportunity to take part in many individual sports, team sports, lifetime sports and fitness.
Some examples of the team sports units we usually cover are: Flag Football, Cricket, Ultimate Frisbee, Soccer, Basketball, Volleyball, Team Handball and Baseball. Individual and Lifetime sports are: Badminton, Tennis, Archery, Problem Solving and Team Building Activities.
A class during remote learning will start with a warmup, then an instruction period followed by group or individual fitness. Students are expected to participate and be active throughout the class. We understand everyone's remote setting is different and students should be as active as their “home gym” lets them participate safely.
Thank you
