College Forum at Midland College
Not sure where you might like to go to college? Come to Midland College from 7-8:30 on Thursday, October 4th and get the chance to visit with colleges and universities from near and far. The event is free and you will have the chance to get lots of information about lots of post-secondary institutions in a quick and easy fashion. We are looking at providing a bus for students to and from MHS if we have enough interest. If you are interested, please go by the college center in the library either Monday or Tuesday to let Mrs. Eggins know.

Generation Texas Week
This week is Generation Texas week. We will be highlighting all the college opportunities students have. Below is our schedule of events.
Check out our College and Career Staff
We are so very excited to have new people on our staff (and some returning) who are dedicated solely to ensuring that our students at MHS are College, Career, and Military Ready. Please take the time to read about these individuals. They are here to ensure that 100% of our students have a plan when leaving MHS that will set them on the path to a fantastic future.
October 3rd-Parent/Teacher Conference Day
October 3rd is a student holiday so that teachers can schedule conferences with parents. If your child has exceeded 9 absences and will need Saturday School or if your child is struggling in any class, this is a good time to meet with the teacher. Students who have exceeded 9 absences without Doctor's notes will need approval from their teacher to make up absences. We are asking our teachers to make parent contact prior to giving this approval. This may be done in person or by phone. October 3rd, teachers will be available all day to meet with you.
October 6th-Keep Midland Beautiful
We have asked all of our organizations to adopt an area of the campus to keep clean and to beautify. Next Saturday is Keep Midland Beautiful Day. We are asking that each organization come out on this day and begin the work to make our campus an exemplar for the City of Midland and other campuses in MISD. We don't want to just be beautiful, we want to be the MOST BEAUTIFUL. Let's come out and make our historic campus in downtown be a true eye-catcher.
Clubs and Organizations
Do you have a great idea for a new club or organization on campus? It's as simple as picking up a form from Dr. S's office and finding a teacher to sponsor you. We have already had 4 news clubs/organizations started since the beginning of this school year and would love to see many more. Bring your idea and let's make it happen.
Bulldog Pedigree on 95.1
Tune into Rock 95.1 each week for The Bulldog Weekly Pedigree. Each week 95.1 highlights one of our fabulous students.
